Product Description
Master Bond EP21FRNS-1 is a two component flame resistant epoxy. Unlike nearly all flame retardant epoxy systems, EP21FRNS-1 contains no halogens and generates very low smoke when exposed to a flame. This epoxy has a convenient one to one mix ratio by weight. It readily develops a high bond strength greater than 1,400 psi upon curing. Once cured, EP21FRNS-1 features durable, tough, high strength bonds that resist thermal cycling as well as many chemicals including water, fuels, acids, bases and alkalis. It has excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics and many plastics. This product has impressive electrical insulation properties. It is serviceable over the wide temperature range of -60°F to 300°F. To optimize the properties of EP21FRNS-1, an overnight cure at room temperature followed by 2-3 hours at 150°F is recommended. Color of Part A is black; the color of Part B is off-white. Master Bond EP21FRNS-1 compound is used in applications involving the aerospace, electronic, electrical, computer and opto-electronic industries.
