EP21 Black 4:5

Product Description

Master Bond EP21 Black 4:5 is a two component, room temperature curing epoxy system for bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation. It has a four to five mix ratio by weight. EP21 Black 4:5 cures at room temperature in 3-5 days or alternatively in 2-4 hours at 150-200°F. The optimum cure schedule is overnight at room temperature followed by 2-4 hours at 150-200°F. This epoxy system has excellent flow properties. The four to five mix ratio allows this system to cure with “toughness” and less rigid than some types of epoxies. In a practical sense, this allows for better resistance to thermal cycling as well as mechanical and thermal shock.

Upon curing, this epoxy has excellent strength properties, as noted below. EP21 Black 4:5 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics as well as many rubbers and plastics. This electrically isolating system, has good chemical resistance to water, oils, fuels, acids, bases and salts. The service temperature range is -60°F to +250°F. The color of Part A is black and Part B is amber. EP21 Black 4:5 is versatile system that can be used in many types of is widely used in the aerospace, electronic, optical, opto-electronics and specialty OEM applications.
